RCSI Bahrain Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland

Pre-ethics application clinic

Would you like to discuss your ethics application with a member of the Research Ethics Committee (REC) before submission?

RCSI Bahrain REC is providing a new service to all applicants. If there are any specific questions pertaining to your research application that you wish to seek advice on, then you now have an opportunity to arrange a 30-minute meeting with two members of the REC.

The REC will make three time-slots available once a month on a first come, first serve basis. To make an appointment applicants can email the Research Officer Ms. Abeer Abdel Aal aabdelaal@rcsi-mub.com with PEC appointment in the address line.
Applicants can bring their specific queries to the meeting for discussion and advice.

Student applicants must have their application fully reviewed and signed by their supervisor before the meeting.

The application will be sent to REC members for review as per normal procedure, but it does give you an opportunity to clarify any points before submission.

The pre-ethics submission meeting does not ensure that your application will be granted automatically; this decision is based on the full application review process.
