Medical Commencement Programme (MCP)
The MCP is a 1-year programme designed for those leaving high school who know their passion lies in the medical profession, to equip you with a greater knowledge of general science subjects and English language for medical/academic purposes. By taking this programme, you will be better prepared for the independent learning style of a western university, and in particular the learning style of RCSI Bahrain. You will also be equipped with the skills and knowledge to bridge the gap from second level education towards the rigours of a third level medical school education delivered in English.
The MCP is taught over 2 semesters and is made up of 12 modules incorporating Physics; Biology; Chemistry; Medical Terminology; Medical English/Research and Study Skills. Successful completion of the Medical Commencement Programme combined with achieving a minimum IELTS 6 will facilitate entry into the Foundation Year of the RCSI Bahrain Medical Programme.Entry criteria
