Research interests:

Cardiovascular disease, cardiac rehab and sexual counselling, heart failure, behaviour change models and health psychology, research summer school.

Supervisor for PhD, MD and masters students in Dublin
Lead in Psychology Bahrain

 

Ongoing research activity:

• PI - Irish Heart Foundation - Heart Failure Patients living in the community. Quantitative and qualitative study with two researchers in Dublin completion March 2016
• Co PI - HRB funded study (2 year) just started Sexual counselling for cardiac http://charmsstudy.com
• RSS funded project: Co managed with Dr F Doyle Dublin - Attitudes to organ donation completed summer 2015. Paper in submission BJHP. Interested in developing this area of research.
• Completing a Masters in Health Care Ethics and Law - thesis title "Medical student's mental health and therapeutic interventions". A meta-analysis of online interventions and recommendations.
